As we all well know, in today's world, it is sometimes difficult to make ends meet -- even with the income from two jobs. Even more difficult is it for a magician to survive, especially when dependency upon seasonal bookings is essential to earning his 'bread and butter'. With holidays (New Years, Groundhog
Day, Halloween and Christmas) being spaced so far apart, it's
not unusual to find out-of-work magicians begging for spare change
on busy street corners, or digging at the bottom of a garbage
can for a scrap of stale bread. It's a national disgrace that
has been largely ignored, "How can I help," you ask yourself? Simple -- if you are planning a magic related event, such as a convention or local get-together, or if you just need a lecture for your magic club , you can do your fellow man a great service by booking a 'temporarilly idled' magician -- such as Richard Bartram, Jr. Give your next event a boost, and at the same time keep another magician 'off the skids'. Your guests will thank you, the public will thank you, and poor little Richie Bartram will sleep well that night. |
