Lake Alma State Park, located on the eastside of State Route 349 north of Wellston on the north side of the Jackson-Vinton County line. Lake Alma has 290 acres of land and 60 acres of water surrounding an island which has a path you can walk around. Bring your boat and enjoy fishing on the lake. The boat ramp and dock are located on the northeast side of the lake. Non-powered watercraft or boats with electric motors are permitted on the lake.  Fishermen can enjoy landing trophy size bass, bluegill, sunfish, crappies and channel catfish. There are also picnic tables and a number of grills throughout the park. Enjoy camping in one of the 72 wooded sites for tents or trailers. Take a hike on one of the three nature trails or a walk on the walking path around the lake.
